Mr. Albert Gwyn, 65, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina traded this ole world of care for eternal life on Wednesday evening, July 14, 2021 while in the comfort of the home of his sister, Valeria.He was born on March 2, 1956 to Thomas "Babe" Gwyn and the late Lula Mae Catoe Gwyn in Forsyth County, North Carolina.

Albert, affectionately known as "Albert Catoe", received his formal education from the local Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and was a graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School.He was employed with Thomasville Furniture for several years.Albert was also known as a handyman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Mae Catoe Gwyn; sister, Brenda Jones; brother, Tremus Catoe; grandmother, Margaret Gwyn Carruthers; three aunts: Mattie Hayes, Queen Kelly, Barbara White; two uncles, George Gwyn and James Johnson and a cousin, Tyrone Foy.

Although our beloved Albert will no longer be here on earth physically, his memory shall live on in the hearts of his four sons:Albert Brown, Twion Brown, Bryant Hairston and Michael Hairston all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; his daughter, Deltra Brown, New York, New York; his father, Thomas "Babe" Gwyn; six grandchildren; two brothers, Willie Catoe and Brian Foy of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; six sisters: Sylvia Howard, Valeria Grafton, Princetta Scurlot (Leon), Johnnie Mae Thompson, Karen Gwyn Horne all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Sharon Evans of New York, New York; three aunts: Alberta Foy, Gaudine Gwyn (Jack) both of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Marie Thomas (John Henry) of Brooklyn, New York; six nieces, four nephews; devoted brother-in-law, Joe Grafton and a host of other relatives, friends and his medical staff.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Field of God Outreach Church Ministries, 3002 Bon Air Avenue NE, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Bishop Donald Keaton will serve as officiating minister. The mortal frame of Albert Gwyn will be laid to rest in the serenity of New Evergreen Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.
