Alfred James Gibbs, 63, of Richmond, VA., passed Monday, October 6, 2014 at Vibra Hospital of Richmond.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00pm at New Jersey AME Zion Church with family visitation an hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Monday from 1-8pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born in New York City, NY on November 14, 1950 to Carmen and Aubrey Gibbs. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sarah Hargrave Gibbs.

He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Kaream James (Tina) Gibbs, Shacara Carmen Gibbs and Christina Anita Gibbs (Freddie) McCoy; two grandchildren, Kayla Joy Gibbs and Amaya Simone Gibbs; two sisters, Elfreda Gibbs, his twin and Louise Jones; a brother-in-law, Bennie "Peanut" (Vivian) Hargrave  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
