Our beloved, Alfreda Winston Jones, entered Heaven's Gate, Tuesday, February 2, 2022 while a patient at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 12, 1929 in Davidson County, North Carolina to the late James Winston and Troy Holmes Winston. We have been blessed beyond measure to have shared her beautiful life for so many years.

Alfreda's most fulfilling career was a homemaker and mother to her children. She loved her family and was devoted to their upbringing and care. She was a lifelong member of Southmont First Baptist Church. She is now resting in the Arms of Our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons: Lonnie Winston, Shayron Winston, De-Dverine Winston and Mark Jones; her brothers: James, Edward, Leroy and Andrew Winston and her sisters: Julia Hargrave, Ola Winston and Sarah M. Burnside.

As we say good-bye to a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be remembered and cherished forever by her sons, Clarence Winston and Warren Winston; her daughters, Roxanne Winston and Ulisa (Joe) Deloatch; a sister, Aquilla W. Sampson; 16 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday at Southmont First Baptist Church at 2:00pm with family visitation at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00pm -5:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
