Allen Woodberry, 86, of Cotton Grove Rd., passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at his residence.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 2:30pm at Yadkin Star Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born March 4, 1931, to William Woodberry and Mattie Timmons Woodberry in Davie County. He retired from Link Taylor Plant #12. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Will and Willis Woodberry and four sisters, Alberta W. Hunter, Evelyn W. Allison, Mary Bailey and Louise Patterson.

Allen leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 60 years, Hallie C. Woodberry; a son, Torrez "Buddy" Woodberry; three daughters: Dianna Crump-Watson, Wanda Woodberry and Sandra W. (Stacy) Young; a brother, Gary (Clarissa) Woodberry; two sisters, Mary W. Cross and Katherine W. Hoover; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Roy (Elizabeth) Crump; two sisters-in-law, Virginia H. Woodberry and Ruby Crump and a host of nieces, nephews, 0ther relatives and special friends.
