Obituary

Altie Mae Wyatt 84, passed away peacefully, from this life into eternal life on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Ms. Wyatt was born on December 25, 1936 in Davidson County to John Douglas Wyatt and Janet Elizabeth Chunn Wyatt.

Ms. Wyatt retired from Dixie Furniture Company and was a faithful member of the Buncombe Baptist Church until her health began to decline.

Her testimony in life was, "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary and faint." Isaiah 40:31

Her words were few but had great weight.

Ms. Wyatt was preceded in death by her parents, John Douglas and Elizabeth Wyatt; three sisters: Melinda Henderson (Bill), Janet Fleming (James) and Nancy Hill (Arree); one brother, John Wyatt; a son-in-law, Gregory Burns, Sr. and one grandchild, Whitney Wyatt.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Larry Wyatt and Ricky Wyatt; three daughters: Deborah Burns, Vera Bush and Aldena Wyatt; one brother, Reverend Rufus Wyatt (Brenda), all of Lexington, NC; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Her wisdom will live on through her legacy which was to be faithful in whatever you do and work hard. She will live in our hearts forever.

Gone but never forgotten.
