Angela Drucilla Henderson, known to many as "Angie," passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health Lexington Medical Center. She was 66 years old.


Born on May 29, 1958 in Davidson County, Angie was the daughter of Lottie Thelma Banks Henderson and Harvey Henderson. She was a 1975 graduate of Lexington Senior High School and continued her education at Fayetteville State University.


Angie was a compassionate caregiver, dedicated to serving many in her community. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, working on crossword puzzles and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jimmy Henderson; and her sister, Sandra Henderson.


She is survived by her sister, Lola Faye Henderson; her brother, Victor Henderson; two aunts, Louise Owens and Elizabeth Henderson; and six devoted friends: Angela Sawyer, Becky Peoples, Wendy Perkins Horton, Tammy Sue White Latrice Barnes and Martha Watkins. Angie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish her memory.


A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.
