Obituary

Oh!How wonderful and marvelous it is to celebrate the life of such a sweet, kind loving spirit!God has smiled on us so graciously by allowing Angie to touch the lives of those who had the pleasure of meeting her as she walked this life on earth.

Anjanette LaVonne Ford, 45, of 2233 Flagg St, was born September 3, 1973 to Antoinette Ford and James Darryll Ravinell in Winston-Salem, NC.She resided in her own home with her daughter and grandchildren.

Angie, as she was affectionately known, graduated from East Forsyth High School and attended Winston-Salem State University. She was a member of New Light Missionary Baptist Church where she attended Bible study and church as often as she could. She loved church!Angie has worked various places: Bojangles, Burger King, Shores Fine Dry Cleaning, Tyson Chicken and Hanes Brands.

Angie was so sweet and so timid.She was a great mom; her children had all the things children need growing up.She never had any harsh words toward anyone.Knowledge was her virtue and she read a lot.Her most read book was the Bible, which she read every day.Angie will always be remembered as a loving and kind individual who never met any strangers.She will never ever be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Ford; paternal grandmother, Odessa Ravinell; two uncles, Glenn Ford, Tommy Ravinell and her aunt, Annie Paulette Ford Taylor.

Cherishing her memories are her two children, Sasha Jefferson Bagley-Lyles and Denard Lamont Plater, Jr.; 3 grandchildren: King A. Lyles, Nova Shawnese Grace Staten and Roashawn McCorkle; sister, Sharrika Ford; 2 brothers, Alexander Ford and Ferris Ford and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Services of Kindness and Celebration will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019 from the Roberts Funeral Service Chapel, Winston-Salem with family moments of visitation at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at 11:30 a.m. Public viewing will be Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Roberts, Winston-Salem Chapel.
