Obituary

Annetta LaFaith "Cookie" Robinson was born December 21, 1970, in Davidson County to James Walter Baremore and Mary Kathy Clodfelter Scott. Cookie passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at her residence.

During her childhood the family elders called her the fastest kid in the neighborhood; they nicknamed her "Minnie Motor." She was athletic but was never interested in playing any sports. She graduated from Lexington Senior High School, class of 1990. She later attended Forsyth Technical Community College, earning an associate degree in Applied Science on May 11, 2001. Annetta worked primarily in the Billing Department.

Cookie loved her family, from the newest to the eldest; she believed in maintaining a strong family bond. Siblings and cousins called her Cookie because of her big brown eyes. Her hobbies were cooking, camping, fishing, shopping and "bargain hunting"; collecting coupons was her passion. She loved her music and starting each day with a good cup of coffee. She had a green thumb and had the same plants for over 10 years. She believed she could build and fix anything; she owned more tools than most men have.

Lexington was always her home and she was active in helping in the community. She volunteered at the Miracle Outreach Community Center and often went out to help feed and transport residents of Lexington. My sister loved "A GOOD TIME" and Friday was her favorite day of the week. She loved hard and was committed to the people in her life and meaningful purposes that were dear to her heart.

Cookie was preceded in death by her mother and a son, Tyreece Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her father, James W. Baremore; a brother, Sonny R. Clodfelter; a sister, Bonnie K. Degraffenried; an aunt, Faith Renee Clodfelter; nieces: Davielle Evon Blakely-Sides (husband Christopher Sides and 3 children Jaiden Scott, Josiah Scott and Jayda Sides), Latashia Nicole Cook Smalls (husband Michael Smalls and 2 children, Jayce Smalls and Jaxon Smalls), Mahogany Clodfelter (1 daughter Addisyn Gilley), Nevaja Clodfelter and Sonnari Clodfelter; nephews: Desmeion Kennedy (2 sons Dakari Kennedy and Dru Kennedy), Kataeven Clodfelter, Devin S. Jowers (son Devin Jowers) and Tevin Jowers (2 daughters, Milan Audrey, Marleigh Audrey); Godson, Jyrik Scott and a host of other aunts, family and friends.

She never would say "goodbye"; she would say "See you later!"

The funeral service will be Friday, April 5, 2024 at New Life Worship Center at 1:00pm with family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
