Miss Annie Laurie Dulin, 95, of Mocksville, NC, answered the call from her heavenly father.
The earthly journey of Miss Annie Laurie Dulin came to an end in a peaceful sleep at 3:21 AM on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Mocksville Senior Living.
The journey of Miss Dulin's life began in Mocksville, NC on September 5, 1927 to Mr. Charlie Dulin, Sr. & Mrs. Alma Lee Ijames Dulin.
Miss Dulin was educated in the Davie County School System, graduating from Davie County Training School Class of 1945. She later graduated from Winston-Salem Business College, Barber Scotia College and La Mae Beauty College. Miss Dulin was last employed with BB&T Bank where she served twenty-five years until her retirement.
Miss Dulin was a lifetime member of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, where she served as Trustee Co-Chair/Secretary, President of Deaconess Board, Leader of leaders/Class Leader, President of Supply Department, Stewardess Board member, Missionary, Life member, Church Treasurer, Senior and Spiritual choir member, Youth choir advisor, Sunday School Teacher, Pianist for Sunday School, Secretary of Sunday School, Lay Council member, Estimating Committee member, Budget Committee member, Kitchen Committee member and Willing Worker Committee member. Miss Dulin began serving these duties at an early age and continued to serve faithfully for a lifetime, until her health started failing. Miss Dulin's presence with St. John will truly be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Charlie Jr. Dulin, Walter Dulin and John Louis Dulin.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her life, nephews: Stevie (Libby) Dulin of Mocksville, NC, Warren (Faye) Dulin of Rocky Mount, Va., Barron Dulin of Advance, NC, Gary (Betty) Dulin of Wilkesboro, NC, Derrick Ijames of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nieces: Carolyn Ragin of New York, Tawana Dulin of Rural Hall, NC, Sharma Dulin of Nashua, NH and Jonnie Lou Dulin of Lexington, NC; special friend, Magalene Gaither; special friend and caretaker for many years, Nettye Ijames-Barber; a host of great nieces and great nephews; other family members and friends.


Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. John AME Zion Church with a 30 minute visitation prior to service time. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
