Annie Mae Lindsay, 86, affectionately known as Annie Mae, gained her heavenly wings on May 6, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness.
Annie was a resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and was born in Mullins, South Carolina on February 9, 1938 to the late Nathaniel Richardson and Luvenia Lawrence. She joined Goler Memorial AME Zion Church, and she was well-known and loved in her community.
Annie Mae enjoyed traveling to visit her family and loved ones back "home" in Mullins, SC, supporting her her daughter and grandchildren. It was her amazingly good sense of humor and love that people gravitated to.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gwendolyn Loretta Williamson; grandson, Rainal Devon Williamson; brother, Thomas Richardson; sister, Julia Mae Moody; mother, Luvenia Lawrence; and granddaughter, Ja'Sel Orr.
She is survived by her grandsons: Jeltress Williamson, Roberto Williamson and Jerriod Orr; great grandchildren: La'Jcia, Shanique, Jeltrese, Sania, Jarrion and 12 great-great grandchildren; niece, Florence Ann Moody of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem).
