Obituary
Annie Bailey Sloan, 88, of Cotton Grove Rd., passed on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was born in Rowan County on March 6, 1929, to Vance Bailey and Ella L. McNealy Bailey.
She retired from the Lexington City School System. She was a member of Union Baptist Church where she served on the Senior Choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of Southside Senior Citizens' Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilson "Ed" Sloan and her siblings, Samuel Lee Bailey and Otis Bailey.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons: Nelson Sloan, Adrian Sloan and Dwayne (Tonya) Sloan; three grandchildren: Kimberly (Scott) Davis, Aaron Sloan and Lydia Sloan and four great grandchildren; a sister/cousin, Cylista M. (Lemuel) Brady and a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday at 2:00 pm at Union Baptist Church with family visitation at 1:00p.m. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.
Lieu of flower donation can be made to Southside Senior Citizen Club 512 S. Hargrave St. Lexington, NC 27292.
