Obituary

Mrs. Ardenia Ashe Craddock of Lexington was called to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Alston Brook Rehabilitation Center.

Ardenia was born on September 4, 1923 in Chesterfield County, South Carolina to the late Will Ingram and Cora Crump Ingram.She was educated in the Chesterfield County Schools. She was alife-long member of New Jersey AME Zion Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Ashe; husband, James Craddock; four children: Willie Ashe, Betty Ashe Day, Rosa Lee Ashe and Ulysses Ashe; her parents and grandparents; three sisters: Janie Ingram, Bertha Ford and Alice Miller and three brothers: Eli Ford, Benjamin Ford and Robert Ingram.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Lexie Jean Johnson and Dennis Ashe both of Lexington; eight grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; a loving niece, Bernice Ingram Fluker of Orlando, Fl. and a loving friend and roommate, Virginia Hill of Alston Brook Rehabilitation Center.

A private graveside will be held Tuesday at Lexington City Cemetery
