Arthur T. "Sonny" Joyner, 84, of Rosie Street, Winston-Salem, NC, heeded God's call and entered Heaven's gate on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.He was born into this world on October 17, 1935 in Forsyth County, North Carolina.He was the son of the late Frank and Lillian Tucker Joyner.

Arthur, affectionately known as "Sonny," received his formal education in the local school system.He was employed with The Dize Company for 64 years in the Shipping and Receiving Department.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Robert Joyner, Frank Joyner, Harrison Joyner and a sister, Willie Mae Hall.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted wife of 63 years, Edith S. Joyner; four daughters: Cynthia Joyner, Kiwanis Nizar, Cheryl Winsted and Donna Joyner; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers: Dennis (Jacqueline) Joyner, David (Shirley) Joyner, Terry Joyner; a sister, Faye Little and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The service of triumph will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, August 29, 2020 from the serenity of Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina.Public visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel.
