Elder Barbara B. McCright, 63, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Atrium Health CMC Main.
She was born in Davidson County to the late James Baldwin and Margaret Marshall Baldwin on April 9, 1958. She was a graduate of Central Davidson High School class of 1976. Elder McCright was called into the ministry in 2006. Best known for encouraging people and giving them hope in Jesus, she worked in various church ministries, including serving as the President of the Ministry of Kindness. She was a member of Freedom Tabernacle Family Worship Center.
Elder McCright leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Curtis McCright; children, Candance (Mel) James and Brandi (Marcus White) McCright; stepchildren, James Miller and Tangla (Larry) Burns; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; siblings: Joann (John) Smith-Thomas, James (Carlon) Baldwin, Cynthia Adams, Everett (Andrea) Baldwin, Tony (Pam) Baldwin and Loretta Vaughters; sisters-in-law, Sharon Thompson and Wanda (Albert) Neely; two uncles; two aunts; three special friends: Jane Curry, Elder Beverly King and Patricia Scott; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be Sunday at Freedom Tabernacle Family Worship Center at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Salisbury National Cemetery. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
