Barbara Jean Finney Robinson, age 79, was born on April 7, 1947, in Hendersonville, North Carolina, to the late Fredrick Finney and Minnie Mae Walker Finney. She departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Pine Acres Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lexington, North Carolina.

Barbara retired from Duracell Battery after many years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Miracle Temple Church of God in Christ for more than 42 years, where she served in numerous capacities, including the choir, usher board, Pastor's Aide Committee, Recording Financial Secretary, founder of the Hospitality Committee, and Mother of the Church. She also initiated the church's care packet ministry for members participating in the Belize Mission Trip. During the last five years of her life, Mother Robinson was under watch care with Greater True Vine Ministries.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Ruby Boyden Finney, who helped raise her; her daughter, Rhonda McKenzie; her brother, Fred Finney, Jr.; and her nephew, Kenny Smith, whom she helped raise.

Barbara leaves to cherish her loving memory her devoted husband of 23 years, Byron Keith Robinson; two sons, Earl Finney and Robert McKenzie; one daughter, Constance Roseboro; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Finney; a niece whom she reared, Carol F. Hoper; a special first cousin, Frances "Shugg" Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Barbara's life was a testament to faith, service, compassion, and love for her family and church. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
