Benjamin Franklin Ijames, age 78, departed this earthly life, Friday, January 12, 2024, Mocksville, North Carolina. Born September 7, 1945 in Forsyth County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late John Jiles and the late Magdaline Neely Ijames.
He received his formal education in the Davie County School System, graduating from Central Davie High School in 1964. After serving his country honorably in the National Guard, Benjamin was last employed with Drexel Heritage in Mocksville, North Carolina. He was a former member of Trinity Baptist Church in Cooleemee, North Carolina.
Benjamin enjoyed watching television, especially his daytime soap opera -Young & the Restless. He enjoyed the simple things of life, but what brought him great joy was the way his sisters spoiled him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Ijames.
Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Annelle Ijames and Linda Ijames of Mocksville, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held at a later date.
