Mr. Bennett Lewis Miller was born June 15, 1955 in Davidson County to the late Charles D. Miller, Sr. and Louise Gordon Miller. He passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Davidson Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Miller was educated in the Lexington City School System and was a graduate of North Carolina Central University. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. Bennett served on the Lexington City School Board and was a past president of the NAACP. He was a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Louise G. Miller; two sons, Bennett G. Miller and Garrett (Gabby) Holloway; two daughters, Bayleigh L. Miller and Yasmin Bilal; two grandchildren, Nauliya N. James and Jocelyn M. Holloway; a brother, Charles D. (Loretta) Miller, Jr.; a sister, Cynthia D. Miller; a niece; two nephews and a host of other family and friends.

The funeral service will be Friday at 2:00pm at Union Baptist Church with family visitation at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00-6:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
