Mr. Bennie Franklin "Peanut" Hargrave, 70, of Edna St., passed on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at his residence.

The funeral service will be Saturday at 1:00 pm at Files Chapel Baptist Church with visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00-7:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born on September 16, 1945, in Davidson County to Pete Garrett and Clara Mae Owen Cade. He was a member of Triad Rollers Club (Pigeons Club) for over 40 years and retired from Stone Container.He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sarah Jean Gibbs.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Vivian M. Hargrave; four sons, Kenneth (Michelle) Hargrave, Franklin Hargrave, Dale Hargrave and Mike (Tabitha) Anderson; a daughter, Sandra Hargrave; a step sister, Annie Pearl (Godfrey) Liles; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
