Benny "Bebo" William Owens, 75, was born August 22, 1948 in Davidson County to Andrew Owens and Bertha Bell Smith Owens. Bebo passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his residence.

He attended Dunbar High School. He was a member of Union Chapel AME Zion Church and retired from United Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nannie White Owens; two brothers, Jarvis Owens and Fletcher Owens, Sr. and a sister, Constance O. Louya.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Charles Owens and Lymond White; a daughter, Hazel (Donnie) White-Greggs; a granddaughter, Breyanna G. Ellis; a brother, Robert Owens; two sisters, Rita Reaves and Venesta Owens; two brothers-in-law, Percy (Audrey) White, Sr. and Doug White; four sisters-in-law: Metha Fortune, Clarissa Woodberry, Louise White and Marian White and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be Monday, October 23, 2023 at Roberts Funeral Service at 1:00pm. Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
