Beverly Andrea Willoughby Brewer was born March 12, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to Flonnie Billingsley Howard and Mack Battle. Beverly was raised from infancy by her loving parents Andrew Jackson (AJ) and Beddie (Maske) Willoughby in Oakboro, NC. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Oakboro, NC.
Beverly attended Kingville High School and furthered her education at Barber Scotia College & Davidson County Community College.
Beverly retired from Greensboro Economic Development & Chamber of Commerce in 2016. She spent 19 years at PPG Industries prior to her change in career path due to her love of computers and technology.
Her pastimes included Nascar (she was a drag racer in her earlier years!); sharing recipes she never cooked on Facebook and sharing funny memes.
Preceding Beverly in death were her parents; ex-husband, Acie Brewer; son, Scottie Willoughby; daughter, Tiffany Anne Brewer; grandson, Zachary Pulliam; siblings: Josephine Fogle, Diane Leslie and James Sturdivant.
Survivors include her loving son, Kevin Willoughby (Regina) of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Kellie Brewer Owen (Greg) of High Point, NC; Nana to grandson Sgt. Casey Brewer, USMC of High Point, NC; siblings: Danny Battle of Wilmington, Delaware, Maxine Duff of Bronx, NY and Bernard Howard (Anna) of Bronx, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the world.
