Biddie Marie Davidson, age 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Graybrier Nursing and Retirement Center in Trinity, NC.

Biddie was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a devout and loyal member of Union Chapel AME Zion Church in Linwood, NC until her declining health. She was educated in the Davidson County Public school system and retired from PPG in Lexington, NC after many years of dedicated service.

Biddie was known as a kind and gentle soul with an infectious laugh and for making her famous red velvet cakes. She was an Avon Distributor for many years. Biddie was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Louisa Cowan Smith; sisters, Ella Black (Washington, DC) and Louise Ramser (China Grove, NC); brothers, William Smith (Washington, DC), Jesse Smith (Baltimore, MD), David Smith and Sylvester Smith (both of Lexington, NC).

Surviving to forever cherish her memory are sons: Richard Louis Davidson, Lexington, NC; Rondol Lee (Billie) Davidson, Greensboro, NC; and Elvis Jerome Davidson, High Point, NC; daughters: Wanda Davidson Hughey and Tammy Davidson Hairston, both of Winston Salem, NC; brothers: George (Earldene) Smith and Joe Paul Smith, both of Lexington, NC; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Homegoing service will be Friday, November 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Union Chapel AME Zion Church, 4329 Sowers Rd, Linwood, NC 27299 with family visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
