Blondia L. Watson Smith was born in Clover, South Carolina to Sampson Watson, Sr. and Molease Miller Watson on December 25, 1946. On Friday morning, September 9, 2022 God called his child home to rest.

She retired from Johnson Control. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Village Dr. where she served as a deaconess.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Smith; a daughter, Cynthia Fowler Hairston; and five brothers: Charlie, James, Sampson, Tommy and Robert.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons: Charles B. Watson and Van Fowler; her siblings: William Watson (Mary), Mary Harrell (William), Martha Brown, Masie Lassiter (James) and Gladys Walser (Raymond); three grandchildren reared in the home: Crystal Fowler, Darrius Fowler and Dominique Watson; 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday at First Baptist Church, Village Dr. at 4:00 PM with family visitation at 3:30 PM. Burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Salisbury National Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Service.
