Bobby Alexander Henderson was born on April 14, 1957, to Raymond Henderson and Inez Jones Henderson. Bobby passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at his residence.

Bobby was a member of Files Chapel Baptist Church, where he formerly served with the Men's Usher Ministry and Kitchen Committee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Henderson.

Bobby enjoyed spending time with his friends and was truly a friend to all. He was known for always having a smile on his face and for his kind and caring spirit. Bobby enjoyed the company of others and had a way of making those around him feel welcomed and appreciated. His warm smile, kindness, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cozette Henderson; a daughter, Ja'Von (Antwain) Gray; a grandson, Ja'Relle Bellamy; a brother, Ray (Portia) Henderson; a sister, Linda Jones (Cheryl Caple); a godson, Deandre Hendricks; an uncle, James (Shirley) Jones; two aunts, Louise Owens and Elizabeth Henderson; sisters-in-law, Jeanett Leverette, Karen (Benjamin) Dowd, Gladys (Billy Joe) Gilley, and Tonya Henderson; Louise Evans, who was like a mother figure to him; five special friends, Billy McNeair, Paul Richards, Leroy Simon, Chris "Silk" Terry, and Joey Hairston; two children from the neighborhood, Wyatt and Zach Griffith, who held a special place in his heart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Files Chapel Baptist Church, with family visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
