Mr. Bobby Gaines Winston, 78, passed on January 20, 2021 at his residence.

He was born to James McDonald Winston and Katherine Julia Hargrave Winston on October 18, 1942 in Davidson County. He served in the United States Army and retired from Lexington Furniture Plant 2. Mr. Winston was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Southmont where he served as church treasurer, on the Board of Trustees, a men's choir member, grounds keeper and Sunday school class #8 member.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley Williams and Annie Mae Crook.

Mr. Winston leaves to cherish his memory a brother, James "Clint" (Peggy) Winston; three sisters, Doretha Mitchell, Brenda Moore and Betty Griffin; two aunts, Alfreda Jones and Aquilla Sampson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church Southmont. Mr. Winston will lie in state from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the church prior to the service. A public viewing will be Monday from 1:00pm – 5:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service, Lexington
