Obituary

Joan Allred Sain, age 72 died Thursday, April 24, 2025 in Advance, North Carolina. Born November 4, 1952 in Chesapeake, Virginia, Joan was the daughter of the late Robert Allred and Frances Lloyd Allread. Our beloved Joan's life has come to a close but we are comforted in knowing that she enjoyed her life and now rests in the Arms of Our Lord.

She was educated in the Chesapeake County public schools, Chesapeake, Virginia. Joan was a devoted mother and homemaker to her children and was adored by her grand and great grandchildren. She loved caring for others. Seeing their smiles brought such joy to her life. Her grand and great grandchildren spoiled her more then she spoiling them.

Joan, who had a warm and generous spirit, leaves to cherish her memories five sons: Bobby Lee Allred of Mocksville, North Carolina, James (Kathy) Hale of Statesville, North Carolina , David (Hannah) Hale of Mocksville, North Carolina, and Steven Hale and Timothy Hale both of Virginia Beach, Virginia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and waiting for the arrival of a set of twins; a sister, Sheila (Kenneth) Martin; a dear friend, William R. Sain; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
