Ms. Brenda Diane Owensby Wilson, daughter of the late Helen R. Reid Norman Owensby Payne and Charles W. Owensby, was born January 5, 1967 in McDowell County, North Carolina. She departed this life of 57 years on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Hinkle Hospice House, Lexington, North Carolina.



Brenda attended the public schools of McDowell County. She was last employed with Hardee's in Lexington, North Carolina. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and her siblings. When she wasn't spoiling her grandchildren, she was letting family members and friends know about the incredible deals at Crazy Joe's. Brenda enjoyed playing Bingo and watching her favorite show, "90 Day Fiance".


She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Alvin Wilson; grandchild, Ayden Hill; and a brother, Roger Norman.


A legacy of love, devotion and fond memories will be treasured by those who survive: her daughters, Rebecca (Rodney) Hill of Lexington, North Carolina and DeAnna (Christie) Wilson of Statesville, North Carolina; five grandchildren: Hailey, Jaylin, Brayden, Zaylen and Tobyas; three sisters: Teresa Wilson of Morristown, Tennessee, Donna (Paul) Hayes of Whitesburg, Tennessee and Wendy (Tim) Brindle of Tyro, North Carolina; three brothers: Wayne (Beverly) Owensby of Welcome, North Carolina , Eddie Lee Brindle of Tyro, North Carolina and Timothy (Miranda) Owensby of High Point, North Carolina; a sister-in-law, Gail Norman; a very special friend, James Barmore; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
