Bruce Roger Hilton, 57, of W. 6th Ave. Ext., passed Saturday, January 21, 2017, at High Point Regional UNC Health Care.

Funeral service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Files Chapel Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Salisbury Historical National Cemetery, 202 Government Rd. Salisbury, NC.

Bruce was born March 9, 1959, to George Clyburn and Betty Sue Hilton King. He worked at Lexington Middle School as a custodian and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Isaiah "Buck" King and a brother, Charles Hilton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carla Hill Hilton; a step-daughter, Leslie Hamilton; two step grandchildren, Jahidi Davis and Arieon Hamilton; three brothers: William Clyburn, Sr., Crawford Hilton and Steve Clyburn; two sisters, Shirley Gatewood and Susan H. Watson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
