Byron Franklin Holt, affectionately known as "Sky" or "Spit" to family and friends, was born on February 11, 1952, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to Virginia Holt Woodberry and the late Calvin Anderson. He passed away on December 4, 2024.

Sky proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Over the years, he worked diligently for the City of Lexington, Duracell, and Leggett & Platt. He cherished spending time with his family and had a special talent for giving relatives nicknames that often stayed with them for life. A lifelong member of Smith Grove View Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Anderson; his stepfather, Will Woodberry; and three brothers: Keith Woodberry, Reginald Woodberry, and Woody Woodberry.

Sky leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Virginia Holt Woodberry; his two sons, Byron F. McIntosh and Adrian McClelland; his two daughters, Aisha (Robert) Rhodes-Deans and Alicia L. Watkins; eight grandchildren; his sister, Gwendolyn Holt; his two brothers, Charles (Sylvia) Woodberry and Adrian (Nicole) Woodberry; his uncle, Roy (Pat) Holt; four aunts, Ruth H. Small, Sylvia (Timothy) Hargrave, Elnora H. Nance, and Allie Mae Holt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at First Baptist Church, Village Drive, at 1:00 p.m., with family visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Salisbury National Cemetery at 11:45 a.m.

Sky will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
