Calvin "David" Salter, 53, of Lenoir, North Carolina slipped away from this earthly life on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Caldwell UNC Health Care.   He was born on March 1, 1968 to the late Calvin and Patricia Salter in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Calvin, affectionately known as "David," received his formal education in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Public Schools and was a graduate of North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem.   He was employed with Dixie Classic Fair as an Occupational Traveler Assembler.  In his leisure time he enjoyed traveling, making new friends and watching wrestling.  Religiously, he was of the Christian faith and accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age.  He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Patricia Salter.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings: Pamela Salter, Deborah Taylor, Rosalind Salter and Brenda Salter; aunts and uncles: James Harris, Willie "Leon" Conner, Janice Conner, Terry Conner, Laymond "Sunny Boy" Conner, Jerry Smith and Linda Smith; nieces and nephews: Keasha Taylor, Hope Salter, Keith Salter, Dwight Salter, Rod McCollum, Shameka Salter, Katrice Taylor, Nathaniel Taylor, Ciara Wilkins, Monique Wilkins and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel (Winston-Salem) with family moments of visitation at 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.  In every effort to protect our client families, protective facial coverings and social distancing are mandatory requirements.
