Cathell Doulin was born in Davie County to John Doulin and Esther C. Doulin on July 19, 1936. He was raised in Mocksville with his five brothers and two sisters. Cathell attended and graduated from high school in Davie County.
Deacon Doulin was a faithful member of Florida United Holy Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from Billings Freight Systems after 25 years. Cathell was called home on March 18, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center, but his spirit will always live on in his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Alexander Hairston; his brothers: William, John, Adam, Roosevelt and Garfield and sisters, Queen and Marion.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife, Gwendolyn Arnell Doulin; three sons, Frankie Calhoun, Tim Kinndle and Blair Jones; three nieces, reared in the home like daughters: Cynthia Jordan Mobley, Alethea "Lisa" Scott and Tammy Smith Murphy and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be Sunday at Florida United Holy Church at 3:00pm with family visitation at 2:30pm. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
