Our beloved, Catherine McIntosh Mickens, was called from labor to eternal rest, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born November 28, 1960, in Davidson County, North Carolina, Cathy was the daughter of Elsie Tuttle McIntosh and the late Bishop Joe McIntosh, Sr. Precious are the memories that will always live in our hearts, for Catherine will be remembered as a classy woman, a smile that could light up a room, and a sweet- spirited woman. May Our Lord and Savior hold her in the palm of His Hand.
She was educated in the Lexington City School System and attended Ashemore Business College. Cathy retired from Lexcom after over year 30 years of service. She is a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a former member of the Chancel Choir, Circle of Faith and the kitchen committee.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Hogan.
Gone from our home, but not from our hearts, she leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Elsie T. McIntosh; her daughters, Chancy (Lance) Martin and Carmen Hogan; grandchildren: Moriah, Landon and Riley Martin; brother, Joe McIntosh, Jr.; sisters: Annetta McIntosh, Shelia McIntosh and Vickie Foye; an aunt, Dora Hargrave and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church at 1:00pm with family visitation at 12:30pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
