Charles Edward Allen was born in Union County, North Carolina to the late Charles S. Allen and Arden Virginia Thomas Allen. Affectionately known as "Fox," he passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Meadowbrook Health & Rehab in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Charles was formerly employed with the Sanitation Department for the City of Lexington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Emmett Allen and two sisters, Charlene Watkins and Willie Mae Bush.

He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Clarisse Redfearn, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The homegoing service will be held on Saturday at New Jersey A.M.E. Zion Church at 1:00 p.m., with family visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at South Lexington City Cemetery.
