Mr. Charles Wayne Deese, 75, of Mocksville, NC, transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday May 21, 2026 at Wake Forest Baptist Atrium Health Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC.

Charles was born on August 31, 1950 in Monroe, NC to the late Mrs. Verla D. Fletcher and Tanny Fletcher of Statesville, NC. He was a member of Erwin Temple C.M.E. Church where he served as a former Trustee. He attended West Rowan High School in Mt. Ulla, NC, Rowan Cabarrus Community College where he became a certified CNC Machinist and worked many years at Grinnell Fire Protection Systems. Also worked with his father-in-law "IN-THE-MUD" (as he called it) as a Cement Finisher. He retired from Alternative Brand Inc. in Mocksville, NC. He worked part-time at PETE's Automotive transporting parts and using his wife as his GPS.

Charles had a love for music as he enjoyed sitting outside or in his truck listening to jazz with his family and friends, he also enjoyed attending Car Shows and Races. He was a Washington Commanders Football fan, a Lakers and Carolina Basketball fan and never wanted to miss a game on TV. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Tanny and Verla D. Fletcher. Sisters, Annie Ruth Fletcher Ervin, Lee Bertha Lee. Brothers, Paul, Willie and Larry Fletcher. Brother-in-law Melvin Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 53 years Delores Pruitt Deese of the home; His children: Karolyn Deese of Mocksville, NC, and Cory Deese (Danielle) of Daphne, AL. His granddaughter he loved so dearly Autumn Deese of Daphne, AL. Godson: Elder Kevin Stockton (Veronica) of Mocksville, NC. Sisters: Essie Hogue (Robert) of Cleveland, NC, Jacqueline Fletcher of Decatur, GA, Rosemary Fletcher of Decatur, GA, Elaine Phillips (Michael) of Lilburn, GA, Frances Fletcher of Fairburn, GA, Sarah Dalton (Curtis) of Mooresville, NC, Joyce Johnson of Greensboro, NC. Brothers: Leonard Deese (Carolyn) of Salisbury, NC and Archie Fletcher (Dianne) of Statesville, NC. Aunts: Della Mae Deese of Salisbury, NC, Nancy Ruth Gaither of Monroe, NC, Claudine Pruitt of Sacramento, CA, and Alice Fortune of Salisbury, NC. Special Great Nephew: Noah Stockton of Salisbury, NC.
