Charles Douglas Henderson, II was born to the late Alice Rucker Henderson and the late Charles Douglas Henderson, Sr. on January 29, 1962 in Lexington, NC.Doug grew up active and surrounded by a tight-knit community.He always excelled at different sports, singing and playing music and reading comic books.Doug knew how to have a good time.
While attending North Carolina Central University, in Durham, North Carolina, he met and eventually married Constance McQuillan (deceased).They moved to Charlotte and grew their family with four children: Colea (Jamelia), Immanuel "Manny" (Anisha), Aaron (deceased) and Jonathan.Each of their children was a reflection of some of the best parts of Doug and he was very proud to have created such a family.
Despite some of life's setbacks and challenges, Doug was always trying to do the best, the right thing.Because of determination, he became jack-of-all trades, working jobs from massage therapist, restaurant cook, car salesperson to so many more.His diversity in skills and talents helped him make many lifelong friendships.He impacted many.He will be missed by many.
Doug leaves behind his siblings: Anya, Gregory and Terri and their children; his children: Colea, Manny and Jonathan; and his cousins, aunts and uncles.Doug was described as the best friend one could have and would be proud to called such.
