Charles Dean Petty, 59, of Hyde St., passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Funeral service will be Saturday at 2:00 PM at Rich Fork Baptist Church with family visitation a half hour before the service. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Friday from 1-7 PM at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born July 7, 1955 in Davidson County to Ivey Petty, Sr. and Vinnie Veola Wood Petty. He was a member of Rich Fork Baptist Church. He served in the US Army and was last employed with Bob Timberlake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Shelly M. Petty.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dixie B. Petty; a son, Marcus (Crystal) Hargrave; two daughters, Yolanda (Todd) Samples and Whitney (Renard) Harris; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ivey Petty, Jr. and Gregory (Eula) Petty; two sisters, Vinnie Garland and Carolyn Jordan and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
