Obituary

Clarence Mack, Jr., affectionately known as "Bubba", was born in Cochran, Georgia on December 26, 1945 to the late Clarence and Bennie Simmons Mack, Sr. He passed away from this earthly life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Trellis Supportive Care. He attended and graduated from the Bleckley County Schools System.

He was a member of Martha Ann Baptist Church, baptized at a very early age. Later in life, he relocated to Paterson, NJ where he met and married his wife, Elizabeth, to whom he was married 57 years. He also worked many years for a computer manufacturing company.

Also during his time in Paterson, NJ, he fathered a son named Raheem Odom. In making a decision to raise his son, he later relocated to Elkin, NC where he resided for many years. During this time, he re-dedicated his life to Christ, was an ordained Deacon and was baptized and a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church under Elder Ronnie Houser. Later, Mr. Mack relocated to Winston-Salem, NC where he became a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church where Reverend Larry Smith was his pastor. He also served as a Deacon there until his health declined.

Although his physical health declined, his faith in God never wavered. He was known for his firm handshakes, his faithful work in the church and his love for his God.

Clarence was not only a husband, a father and Deacon but he was a proud grandfather of two grand girls who loved him dearly.

Deacon Mack was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Mary Mack, Patricia Mack and Loretta Mack.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elizabeth Mack of Winston-Salem, NC; his only son, Raheem Odom (Brandy) of Lewisville, NC; two granddaughters, Julianna Odom and Kimberleigh Odom; two sisters, Callie Mae Johnson (LC) of Mocksville, NC and Mattie Mack of Cochran, GA; three brothers: Robert Mack of Paterson, NJ, Lessie Mack of Albany, GA and Oscar Mack (Immacula) of Stone Mountain, GA and a host of other family and friends.
