Mrs. Claudette Y. Cooper Blue was born on Tuesday, February 18, 1969, to Mr. Elgent L. Cooper and the late Mrs. Blondell Brown Cooper in Winston-Salem, NC.
She attended the W-S Forsyth County Schools.She was a 1987 graduate of Parkland Senior High School.She had various employments, but was a former employee of the Lankford Protective Service until her health began to fail.
Claudette united with Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church as a child and was a faithful member until the end.She was a faithful member of the Senior Choir, Sunday school and the Praise Team.She was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her mother and maternal and paternal grandparents.
She leaves not to mourn but to cherish loving memories, her husband, Mr. Anthony Blue of the home; daughter, Ms. Jasmine T. Cooper and soul mate, Mr. Dontae Lemon of W-S; her father, Mr. Elgent Cooper of W-S; step-son, Joe Melton of W-S; 2 brothers, Mr. William (Mary) Cooper and Mr. Reginald Cooper, both of W-S; one cousin/brother, Mr. Keith Shelly of W-S; 2 sisters, Ms. Ledell Cooper and Ms. Lovell Sims of W-S; granddaughter, the love of her life, Ms. Arieanna Monae Lemon of W-S; 1 brother-in-law, Mr. Melvin Turner of W-S; 7 aunts: Ms. Salley McFadden, Ms. Rose Lee Washington, Mrs. Allie Singletary, Ms. Irma Eaddy, Ms. Esther Mouzon, Ms. Eva Chrstian; special aunt, Ms. Lola Bell Cooper; 5 uncles: Mr. Donnie (Albertine) Brown, Mr. Joe (Marian) Hannah, Mr. Charles Hannah, Mr. Paul (Delois) Hannah and Mr. Spencer (Shelly) Cooper; 2 nephews: Roderick Cooper, Shaun Elder; 4 nieces: Ms. Shaquita Moore, Ms. Brittany Cooper, Ms. Tiffany Sims, Ms. Andrea Cooper; 2 great nephews and 3 great nieces; three special friends: Andrea Reynolds, Cathy Dula and Ramona Cunningham.
Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church at 12 noon with family visitation at 11:00 a.m.Senior Pastor Daryl Young will officiate.Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
