Mr. Clifford Eugene Burns, 68, of Northside Dr., passed on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Brian Center Nursing Care of Lexington.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Files Chapel Baptist Church with visitation a half hour before the service.Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

Public viewing will be Tuesday from 1:00p.m. -8:00p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service.

He was born August 1, 1947, to Jim Burns and Mae C. Hearst Burns in Lincolnton, Ga. He retired from G &P Trucking Company and was a member of Files Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly D. Burns; a brother, Willie Burns and two sisters, Carmilla Carr and Betsie M. Bobo.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy W. Burns; three sons, Clifford E. Burns, Jr., Larry B. (Veronica) Burns and Eric B. Burns; a daughter, Sylvia L. (James) Williams; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred L. Burns and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
