Mrs. Corrina Amelia Payne Reid was born in Lexington, North Carolina on June 5, 1932 to Minnie Payne. Mrs. Reid departed her earthly home on April 7, 2024. She was affectionately called "Dolly" and later earned the names of "Momma," "Nana" and "Dot-Dot." Upon her mother's death at an early age, she was raised by her grandparents, Walter and Mattie Payne, with her older sister, Sarah "Sis" Payne Crooks and uncles, Frank and Odell Payne.

She attended Dunbar Fourth Street School and was a proud member of the Class of 1951. During her loving childhood, she was a member of the Girl Scouts Troop 7 under the leadership of Mrs. Mamie Singleton. She was an officer and an active participant in the Dunbar Fourth Street School Reunions.

Mrs. Reid married Stanley Willie Reid, Jr. and to this union two children were born, Stanley W. Reid, III and Regina C. Reid Martin. Being a grandmother to Solomon, Aaron and Jordan was one of her happiest positions in life. Her children's friends were also her friends.

She was a present or former member of the following Ministries: Senior Choir, Sunday School, Missionaries, Chairperson of the Kitchen Committee, Vacation Bible School volunteer, and Seniors.

She was a member or former member of the following community organizations: NAACP, Nine O'clock Savings Club, Charter Member of Jno. G. Lewis Assembly #326, and Michael, Lopp and Brummell Family Reunion.

Mrs. Reid answered her call of service with employment with the following: Davidson County Community Action, Tiny Tot Daycare, Southwest and Grimes Elementary Schools. She retired from Lexington City Schools in 1995.

Preceding her in death were her mother; grandparents; husband, Stanley (Junie) Reid, Jr.; sister, Sarah (Reid) Crooks; uncles, Frank (Frances) Payne and Odell (Madie) Payne.

Thankful for the memories and counting it a blessing to be a part of her family tree are: son, Stanley W. Reid, III; daughter, Regina (Ricky Crosby) R. Martin; grandsons: Solomon Martin, Aaron Reid and Jordan Reid; nephews, Odell (Carrie) Payne, Jr. and Anthony (Gloria) Reid; Golden Girls, Mattie Terry and Louise Miller; cousins, neighbors and friends.
