From the rising of the sun, Crystal Gabrielle King, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, family member and friend departed this life of 28 years. Saturday, February 5, 2022 was the setting of the sun which completed her journey from which time she entered her life of eternity. Gabby, as she was lovingly known, was born on a summer day, June 19, 1993 in Davidson County, North Carolina. She was the "apple-of-their-eye", to her mother Yolanda Hargrave Roberts and her father Christopher Anthony King.
Gabby attended the Mecklenburg County, North Carolina public schools. Her church membership was held with Faith Soldiers Word Ministry, Charlotte, North Carolina. She was loved by many. She enjoyed singing, writing, eating seafood and being with family members and friends. She loved spoiling family members and friends by giving them "mani-pedis," When she wasn't giving mani-pedi's, she was sitting in front of the television watching the First 48 hours.
She is now at rest in the Arms of Our Lord and Savior. Gabby will be missed more than words can convey. She leaves a void in our lives; she leaves us smiling through our tears. Through faith and belief in Our Father, we still believe and give thanks for Gabby's life and the memories she left.
Though her physical presence is gone, her spiritual presence shall forever be present and cherished by her parents: Yolanda and Rodney Roberts and Christopher Anthony King; bonus mom, Lisa King; brothers: Anthony Hargrave, Christopher (Shanna) King, Belair Blackman, Justin Millner and Jadarian Welch; sisters: Ashleigh King, KeAundra Tate and Meka Blackman; three cousins who were raised like siblings: Myles Chambers, Ian Chambers and Sydney Faust; maternal grandparents: Joseph Lee and Anita Hargrave, Sr. and Francis Roberts; paternal grandfather, Clyde King, Sr.; great-grandmother, Tommie Lee Carter; her godparents, Tim and Cynthia Rogers; a host of aunts and uncles; best friend, Markeshia Cade; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
