David Lee Clodfelter, 71, of Garden Dr., passed on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.

The funeral service will be Saturday at Files Chapel Baptist Church at 3:00p.m. with family visitation at 2:30pm. Burial will follow at New Jersey AME Zion Church Cemetery.

David was born in Davidson County to Farris Mock Clodfelter and Ruby Verdell Clodfelter. He was a faithful member of New Life Worship Center where he served on many ministries. He was preceded in death by his parents.

David leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Betty R. Clodfelter; four children: Anna Clodfelter, Christopher Clodfelter, Rhonda Clodfelter and Michelle Avent; three step-children: James (Harriet) Roberts, Perry Roberts and Yvonne (Rev. Ronald) Johnson; four brothers: Bishop Dennis (Denise) Clodfelter, Darrell (Jerri) Clodfelter, Fredrick (Janet) Clodfelter and Timothy Clodfelter; three sisters: Emma (Rev. William) Conrad, Shirley (James)Vinson and Sandra (Keith) Atkins; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Savannah Roberts and a host of other relatives and friends.
