Mr. David Edmond Laws, 88, passed away on July 1, 2024 at Accordius Health at Salisbury. He was born in Swain County on October 17, 1935 to the late James Laws and Marie Medford Laws.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Joseph W. Laws; a grandchild; a brother, Jackie (Ann) Laws of Lexington; four sisters: Lucille (James) Martin of Mema, Ark., Lexie Corbett of Marion, NC, Imogene (James) Asleshire of Mena, Ark. and Carolyn Laws of Lexington and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
