David Pate, 67, died Friday, June 14, 2019 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. David was born March 3, 1952 in Chesterfield, SC to Johnny and Alberta King Pate.

He moved to Lexington, NC in his early years, and graduated from Central Davidson High School in 1970. He retired from PPG Industries and was a member of Union Baptist Church. David was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers:Jasper, Sylvester and Roosevelt and his sister, Catherine Pate.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Burine Vinson Pate of 47 years; a son, David Tyron Pate, Sr. (Sharon);3 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Delores) Pate and Edward (Marsha) Pate; three sisters: Johnnie (Thomas) Craven, Jean (Dennis) Black and Ella (Brian) Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00pm with family visitation at 12:30pm at Union Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.Public viewing will be Wednesday from 1:00pm until 7:00pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
