David Kevin
White
June 5, 1960 – April 25, 2026
A man of wisdom, talent and intelligence, David Kevin White entered Heaven's Gate Saturday, April 25, 2026 while a patient at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Davie County, North Carolina on the June 5, 1960, and was the son of the late David Hairston and Edna Jean White Hairston. David fought the good fight, finished his course and kept the faith. A life well-lived and well loved, he will forever be remembered for his kindness and generosity. Until we meet again, may he rest in God's Care.
"Kevin" as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Davie County public schools and graduated from Davie County High School, Mocksville, North Carolina. After graduating from high school, Kevin enlisted in the military and served his county gallantly in the Army National Guard. After returning home, he was employed at Stanley Furniture and Parkdale Mills until retirement.
A true lover of music, Kevin was well known as "DJ K-Dubb". Along with his love for music, he also enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Carolina Panthers. Kevin loved working with his hands, as was evident as he assisted in building South Davie School and devoted much time building model cars from kits.
Kevin's parents, David and Edna; grandparents, Willie and Velma Dalton, Rev. Raymond and Irene Hairston; daughter, Ashley Roseboro; brothers: Gilbert White, Barry Hairston and Marcus Hairston; grandchildren, Kevin Allen and Ja'Zir Peace welcomed him home.
Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of his children: Kevin Allen, Jermaine Peace, Katisa Roseboro, Shanetta Roseboro, Christa Roseboro, Joshua Peace and Shaquille White; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Craig Hairston; two nieces, Ieasha (Justin) Wilson and Tasha Chambers; nephew, Marcus Williams; two uncles, Gary White and Calvin Ijames; two aunts, Rosa Lee Arnold and Margaret White; a special friend, Virginia Peace; best friend/cousin, Steve Howell; and a host of cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Roberts Funeral Service, Mocksville, with a 30 minute visitation prior to service time.
