Obituary

William Lee Fair, Jr., in his 62nd season of life, was born on June 9, 1963 in Forsyth County, North Carolina to William Lee Fair, Sr. and the late Shirley Weeks Fair. On Sunday morning, December 21, 2025, while the dew still kissed the roses and heaven stood ready, William answered the Master's call and was guided into eternal rest.

Educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public School System, William carried with him a strong work ethic and a servant's heart. Throughout his working years, he was entrusted with private security services, faithfully safeguarding individuals, churches and businesses throughout the Triad area. In his later season, he served as Kitchen Manager at Bojangles, where his labor extended beyond the kitchen-he fed both bodies and spirits. Wherever fellowship gathered, William's presence brought warmth, laughter and nourishment; his chicken became a familiar and welcomed offering of love.

A man who walked in wisdom, William embraced the sacred truth of Proverbs 18:22, "Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord." On February 27, 1993, he united in holy matrimony with Wanda Horne, forming a bond rooted in faith, devotion and steadfast love that would endure for 32 blessed years.

Though diligent in earthly labor, William's heart was anchored in the Lord. He loved God sincerely and served faithfully as a Deacon and devoted armorbearer at Steadfast Life Changing Ministries, supporting his pastors and church family wherever needed. Easy-spirited and welcoming, he never met a stranger-his humor was genuine, his laughter contagious and stories brought joy to all. Above all, his life reflected unwavering faith, deep love for his cherished family and a steadfast commitment to God.

William was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brian Horne; his mother, Shirley Weeks Fair; his brother, Romero Fair, Sr.; his sister, Treva Fair; and his cherished uncle, Eugene Weeks.

He leaves to treasure and carry forward his legacy his devoted wife of 32 years, Wanda Fair; his daughter, Telisha Horne; his father, William Lee Fair, Sr.; his sisters, Telissa (Thomas) Ward, Apostle Lenee (Rickey, Sr.) and Tamara Fair; his brother, Fredricko Fair; and his precious grandchildren: Trenton "Trenton Lee," Leah Brielle "Leah Bell," Cashton Khaled "Cash," and SaRiyah Hope "My Molly." He is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, his Steadfast church family and countless friends whose lives were forever touched by his kindness and faith.

William Lee Fair, Jr. leaves a legacy etched on hearts, not stone. Through faithful service, deep love, joyful laughter and humble devotion to God, his life stood as a living sermon of perseverance and generosity. Though his earthly journey has ended, his spirit lives on in cherished memories, acts of kindness and lives strengthened by his faith. His work is complete; his crown is secure.
