Debra Hearst, born on August 27, 1962 in Davidson County to Eloise Hairston and June Hairston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Hinkle Hospice House.

A graduate of Lexington Senior High School, Debra was of the Baptist faith and worked diligently at Atrium Windows & Doors - Cornerstone Building Brands for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William D. Hearst; and her sister, Sarah H. Roberts.

Debra leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Melvin (Brittany) Neely II of Winston-Salem; the joy of her life, her grandson, Melvin Neely III; two brothers, John T. Hearst and Jeffery Hairston; a sister, Pamula Leak; two aunts, Virginia Hairston and Ernestine Hairston; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 4:00 PM at South Lexington City Cemetery. A public viewing will take place on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Roberts Funeral Service.
