Mrs. Debra Kiwana Smith Hoover, 68, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born March 23, 1954 in Davidson County to Rev. James I. Smith and Marie Verdell Smith.

Debra was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School. She worked at Link Taylor Furniture for many years. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Willis Reid.

Debra leaves to cherish her memory her two brothers, Charles (Alisa) Smith and James Q. Smith; nephew and niece, Chanton Smith and Erica Smith; two great nephews, Alex and Chanton; two aunts, Louise Lopp and Annie Ealy and a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be Sunday at 4:30pm at Roberts Funeral Service.
