Delores Louise Walser Peoples entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Walser and Odessa Hoover-Walser; husband, Ernest Peoples; son, Harold Peoples; daughter, Ella Griffin; sister, Alice Walser and brother, James Walser.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Fernando (Rosalind) Peoples; her daughters: Ernestine Hairston, Rebecca Peoples and Alice Peoples; a son-in-law, Dale Griffin of Sailsbury, NC; a special granddaughter, Odessa Peoples; 15 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law: Nathaniel (Faye) Peoples, Russel Peoples and Joseph Peoples of Lexington, NC; sister-in-law, Sadie Rivers of Lexington, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Mrs. Delores spent much of her time calling and connecting with loved ones from all over. She was always willing to take care of family and friends. She loved spending money no matter whether she had or not.


The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30pm at St. Stephen United Methodist Church with family visitation at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. . The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
