Dennis Lionel Orlando Mock, entered eternal rest on October 15, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Services of celebration will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Temple United Methodist Church.Burial will follow in the Eller Family Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation will be an hour before the service.Public viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clevesta W. Mock and Hester M. Eller Mock; his brother William R. Mock; son, Clemmons "Karrow" Williams, Jr., his maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles.

His early educational years were spent attending New Jersey Church School and Dunbar High School from which he graduated.After high school graduation, Dennis enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.He joined the N.C. National Guard of Winston-Salem, NC on Silas Creek and served for 38 years and was ranked a Sergeant First Class.He proudly served in the US Army and National Guard for a total of 40 years.He was a member of Brooks Temple United Methodist Church.Dennis enjoyed the sport of racing and was described by many as a car enthusiast because of his love for cars, particularly sport cars.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sons:Leroy Williams (Letisha) of Winston-Salem, NC; Lionel Orlando Mock (Jada) of Charlotte, NC and Antoine "Tony" Mock (Chevonne) of Darlington, SC; sister Mylinda Wooden of Midway, NC; a very special granddaughter Alexus R. Mock, of Midway, NC and a special great-grandson Messiah Mock Givens; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren; aunts Edwina Thomas of Alston Brooks and Jacquely Mock of Brooklyn, New York; a special cousin Loretta Simon, one nephew Roger Yvain Mock , many cousins, special family members, friends and loved ones.
