Mrs. Dorothy Mae Grier Chaplin, 81, of Rockford St. passed December 28, 2016 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
The funeral service will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1:00p.m. at New Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
She was born February 6, 1935 in Forsyth County to Ida Grier.Ms. Dorothy was a retired social worker for Dept. of Social Service.She was a member of New Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Melvin Chaplin, Sr.
She will forever leave to cherish her memory three sons; Roder Chaplin, Issac Chaplin and Isiah Chaplin; two daughters: Francina Dobson and Tomeka Chaplin; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host other friends.
